E-cars save money and CO2

Fleet managers who increasingly rely on the use of e-cars were able to achieve significant savings in 2022.

With the change from combustion engines to electric vehicles could last year fleet operator in Europe big savings on the Energy costs as well as CO2 emissions. According to a study by Webfleet, a provider of fleet management software, an e-car used in commercial fleets in Europe saved around 3.600 euros on average Fuel costs and 15 tons of CO2.

These totals were calculated on the basis of telematics data collected in the first half of 2022 from vehicles connected to Webfleet. Among other things, there were country-specific differences. The biggest fuel cost savings could be achieved in the UK and Holland with 3.800 and 3.500 euros respectively. In Denmark, France and Spain it was between 2.000 and 3.000 euros, in Germany, Italy and Poland up to 2.000 euros.
