Electric Rolls-Royce: Not a phanthom electric vehicle

Rolls-Royce has committed itself to the electric drive. The first model should not be a phantom with a plug after all.

Rolls-Royce is planning an independent electric model. The E-sedan, possibly called Silent Shadow, is to use parts of the technology of the BMW i2022 expected for 7, but stand on its own platform and be assembled in Great Britain, as the magazine "Autocar" reports. For the drive, different variants with two or four driven wheels are under discussion, the range should be at least 500 kilometers.

Up until now, it was considered more likely that Rolls-Royce would launch an electric version of the Phantom that only looks different from its original in some details. Now a visually independent model is evidently preferred. According to the report, a corresponding prototype already exists, but is now only intended to serve as a test vehicle for the drive.
