Electricity costs for the e-car

Driver of E-cars have to spend less money on charging than petrol drivers on refueling. At least in theory.

Charging an electric car at home Wallbox causes average electricity costs of 730 euros a year and is therefore cheaper than filling up a gasoline vehicle, which costs an average of 1.385 euros a year. This is the result of a model calculation by Check24.

How the gasoline and electricity bills were calculated

The calculations of the comparison portal are based on the assumption of an annual mileage of 11.387 kilometers and an average consumption of 20,7 kWh or 7,8 liters for a distance of 100 kilometers. The petrol price is set at 1,56 euros; the portal has assumed an average of around 30 cents per kWh for the electricity price.
