The video published by Carscoop as a “spy video” about the BMW i8 is probably less of a “Erlkönig” that was caught than much more of a Erlkönig that was deliberately positioned.
BMW is not completely stupid and you can achieve a really impressive viral effect with this kind of supposed “spy shot”.
I would say: Thank you, dear BMW Marketing, for this beautiful spot.
No matter what the idea was, I was happy to see the i8 doing its driving tests.
