Euro NCAP class victory for Lexus IS 300h

The new Lexus IS 300h is the safest vehicle in the middle class in the Euro NCAP test of 2013 and was able to confidently claim the class victory. He scored 91% of the maximum possible score in the occupant protection criterion, 85% for child safety, 88% for pedestrian protection and 66% for his driver assistance systems. The premium mid-size sedan not only significantly exceeded the number of points required for the best possible five-star award, the full hybrid model also achieved the best result in the "Large Family Car" class.

Euro NCAP annually awards the automobiles that have achieved the best results in the safety tests of the independent testing institute in the past twelve months. In 2013, 33 new models from 7 different categories were subjected to several crash tests. The class winners were the cars with the highest total number of points in the assessment of occupant protection, child safety, pedestrian protection and driver assistance systems.

Today, modern vehicles have to receive 5 stars in the Euro-NCAP crash test as a matter of course. Especially when it comes to premium manufacturers. I would look up a Dacia four stars, one new BMW not.
