Full stars for the two premiere models: Genesis has cleared the first small hurdle when it launched into Europe.
Hyundai's premium offshoot Genesis is launched on the European market with two five crash test stars. The best rating from EuroNCAP was given to both the business sedan G80 as well as the derived SUV GV80. Both were particularly convincing in terms of occupant and child protection as well as their safety equipment. In terms of pedestrian protection, the SUV fell slightly behind the car model.
The compact crossover Citroen C4 earned only four out of five stars. There were devaluations in the areas of occupant and pedestrian protection as well as safety equipment. In addition, EuroNCAP tested the coupé and convertible variants of the BMW 4 Series and found no differences to the other body variants of the mid-range model that had already been tested. The two offshoots therefore also received a five-star rating.
