With Ford Another major car manufacturer has now entered the currently rapidly growing business with car subscriptions. On the website ford-autoabo.de customers can now subscribe to a brand vehicle with just a few clicks of the mouse. As is usual with this offer format, the customer pays a monthly amount that already includes all costs – i.e. depreciation, insurance, taxes, GEZ fees and maintenance. Users only have to bear the energy costs for petrol, diesel or electricity themselves.

Various models to choose from

There are currently five Ford series to choose from in the subscription program. The entry-level model is the Fiesta, which is offered at prices starting at 299 euros. Alternatively, Puma (from 349 euros), Focus as a five-door and station wagon (from 369 euros), Kuga (from 399 euros) and the all-electric Mustang Mach-E (from 829 euros) are available. All series are combined with upscale equipment lines. In most cases, you can choose performance, fuel type and transmission, as well as basically the amount of free kilometers.

Instead of flexible terms, Ford offers 12-month subscriptions as the only option. The Fiesta with a 100 hp petrol engine, manual transmission and 10.000 free kilometers costs 299 euros per month, with 15.000 or 30.000 free kilometers it is 329 or 429 euros. The most expensive option is the Mach-E with 20.000 free kilometers for 949 euros per month.

Duration depending on the model

After just a few mouse clicks, a contract should be concluded purely digitally and online. After choosing the vehicle and the free kilometers, information on the payment method as well as proof of identity, income and driving license are required at the end. The period of availability varies depending on the model. Usually it is one to two months, in the case of the Mustang Mach-E it can also take 6 months.

Ford has chosen Fleetpool as its partner. The customer also concludes the contract with this company. However, the online presence is kept in the Ford design, and the cars, which are new vehicles, are made available through Ford dealers. A total of 300 dealers are involved in the subscription sales throughout Germany. The subscriber has the option of choosing a Ford dealer as close as possible to their place of residence, where they can pick up the vehicle and return it at the end of the term. The distance to the customer determines the order of the listed partners. The dealer is also the point of contact for maintenance, claims settlement and returns. After the end of the subscription, he is also responsible for the used marketing of returns.
