With the next stage of expansion as a seven-seater of the small commercial vehicle NV200 Evalia as a purely electric vehicle, Nissan intends to further expand its lead in electric mobility. However, this does not only require pure hardware, but support through targeted subsidies and cooperation. For this reason, Nissan invited to the presentation in the green capital of Europe for 2017. After eating. With interesting discussion partners such as an e-vehicle user, the Federal Association of CarSharing eV and electricity operators, the topic of electromobility was once again brought to the fore.

Nissan now sells its purely electric vehicles in 43 countries on 4 continents. Among other things, Nissan not only wants to maintain, but also expand its market share of 13% in Germany with subsidies. Owners of electric vehicles of any manufacturer, for example, can fill up at an e-pump, which every dealer makes available, completely free of charge. In addition, the car maker from Nippon will set up a quick charging station free of charge in consultation with the buyer on the property when buying three vehicles.

Dr. RWE reports that RWE is not only an electricity provider, but also a full service provider. Arndt Neuhaus, CEO of RWE Deutschland AG. There you can see electric mobility as part of the energy transition. Among other things, RWE shows its competence as operator of 4250 charging points across Europe and that with its own IT backend. This means that RWE also uses the electricity it uses precisely with the customer. B. settles on the smartphone. The next step was to cooperate with Nissan to supply the quick charging stations mentioned above, which Nissan makes available to its dealers.

The driving and buying behavior of young road users changes over time. CarSharing companies serve customers who cannot or do not want to afford their own vehicle for economic or ecological reasons. The topic of e-mobility also arises here, because electric vehicles make sense for smaller distances. Willi Loose, Managing Director of the Bundesverband CarSharing eV sees great potential here to raise the general public's awareness of the subject of “electric driving”. The numbers speak for themselves. In the first half of 2015, there were only 14.000 vehicles per million CarSharing customers. Unfortunately, the share of electric vehicles in the fleets of car sharing operators is only 8,2%.

But municipalities should also play a leading role, explains Peter Lindlahr, managing director of hySOLUTIONS from Hamburg. This does not only include the expansion of the infrastructure of the quick charging stations. From 2020, the city of Hamburg will only procure buses with emission-free drives. By 2030, all 900 vehicles will then be replaced. But Hamburg is also making a change in residential construction. If 0,8 parking spaces are currently allocated to a newly built apartment, there should be only 0,4 parking spaces in the future. The area should be replaced with spaces with a quick charging station.

Panel discussion with high e-mobility competence

The large bakery Schüren from Essen demonstrates how everyday suitability of electric vehicles works in the small commercial vehicle sector. With a photovoltaic system on the roofs of his real estate, the large entrepreneur not only feeds the production companies. The electricity generated is used for its fleet of electric vehicles. The 18 branches around Essen are supplied with fresh baked goods several times a day. By converting its fleet to electric vehicles, he is reducing CO2 emissions by more than 25%.

According to the Leaf, which has been available worldwide since 2010, the Japanese carmaker has been marketing the small commercial vehicle NV2014 with the name "e-NV200 Evalia" since 200. Like its conventionally operated "brother", the donkey is available as a compact, spacious box van with two seats, as a five-seat station wagon and also as a five- and seven-seat car variant. The cargo space is up to 770 kilograms even higher than that of the combustion engine and the cargo volume varies between 4,2 m³ for the panel van and 2,27 m³ for the station wagon with rear seat. With the passenger seat back folded down, objects up to 2,80 meters long can fit into the cargo deck.

The 80 kW (109 hp) electric motor already known from the Nissan Leaf and the continuously variable automatic transmission send a full 254 Newton meters to the front axle. When driving in the Essen city area, the e-NV200 Evalia impresses with this torque that is present from the first turn. Road bumps are swallowed up by the very well-coordinated chassis. Thanks to the elevated seating position, we have good all-round visibility. We don't have to worry about the range, because according to the new European measuring cycle NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) we have 170 kilometers available. After our test drive, half of the capacity is still available.

Nissan will only offer the e-NV200 Evalia in the top equipment "Tekan". Available from August, the customer will get a full seven-seater from 37.500 euros. Another option would be to rent the battery. In this case, the purchase price of the vehicle is reduced to EUR 31.600. The standard equipment includes 15-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, a heated leather steering wheel including control buttons for the multimedia system, heated driver and front passenger seats, front power windows, light and rain sensors and fog lights. Two sliding doors make it easier to get into the rear, dark tinted sliding doors with sliding windows create a discreet VIP atmosphere.

And finally ...

With its cooperation partners, Nissan offers an easy entry into e-mobility. The e-NV200 Evalia offers great benefits with maximum fun factor.
