Inspired by the X Speedium Coupé Concept, also presented in New York last year, the GV80 Coupé Concept combines the practicality of a lifestyle-oriented SUV with the dynamism of a sports car. The GV80 Coupé Concept features the brand's signature crest grille with two superimposed G-Matrix patterns. To emphasize the exclusive character of the model, a "Designed by Genesis" lettering adorns the lower area of the front fender. Forged five-spoke alloy wheels and the carbon fiber roof underline the sporty character of the GV80 Coupé Concept: They lower the center of gravity and minimize the weight.
At the rear, the combination of an upper roof spoiler and a small spoiler lip on the elliptical, concave ducktail optimizes aerodynamics and thus improves downforce at higher speeds. The continuous tail lights complete the well-known Genesis two-line design at the rear of the vehicle.
The bold design is also complemented by the exterior color Magma underlined, which was inspired by the Korean ethos of the premium brand. “The color symbolizes Korea's confident and passionate attitude. The calm, disciplined and humble first impression contrasts with the powerful and extroverts attitude,” says Donckerwolke.
"Beauty of white space" meets performance
