Geneva 2014: KIA presents the Stinger GT4 and the Soul EV

With two premieres for Europe, the Korean car manufacturer KIA is waiting in Genf .

KIA GT4 Stinger and KIA Soul EV

Kia Soul EV

The Soul is a compact crossover from the Korean model range. EV stands for “Electric Vehicle” and it is clear that KIA is showing its first electric car. And the Soul EV should not remain a feasibility study, but will be available on the German market in autumn 2014.

The power of the Soul comes from a 110 hp electric motor with 285 Nm. As with the petrol-powered Soul, the power goes to the front wheels. The Soul stores the energy for the electric motor in a lithium-ion polymer battery. The range indicates KIA with up to 200 kilometers.

KIA GT4 Stinger 15 Detroit NAIAS 2014

KIA GT 4 Stinger

He had his world premiere in Detroit, now comes the concept of a racy sports coupe also to Europe. The GT4 Stinger was designed by the Californian KIA design team to showcase the capabilities of a sporty 2 + 2 seater. An 2 liter large four-cylinder turbo engine provides power for 315 PS, the power is sent via six-speed gearbox towards the rear axle.

Opinion: I can imagine a serial production, because Kia / Hyundai need a successor for that Hyundai Genesis Coupe, Why not build a variant for KIA? If he is only half as racy as the GT4 Stinger Concept, then the success is certain.
