The Company Honda (Jap. 本田技研 工業 株式会社, Honda Giken Kōgyō Kabushiki-gaisha, "Honda Research and Industry", engl. Honda Motor Co., Ltd.), listed in the Nikkei 225, is a Japanese Group (uaHamamatsu), of the AutomotiveMotorcyclesOutboard enginesMicro combined heat and powerSystems and power tools developed, manufactured and marketed for the global market. The subsidiary Honda Aircraft Company also builds a business jet.

Honda is measured by the stock market value the second largest car manufacturer in the world.

With an annual production of 22 million engines, Honda is also the largest engine manufacturer in the world. Honda employs around 30 staff in its manufacturing facilities in 179.000 countries around the world. Headquarters of the company is Tokyo.

The headquarters of the Honda Germany GmbH, with about 162 jobs, is starting 2013 in Frankfurt am Main, The President has been 2012 Japanese Katsushi Inoue since April. The German Research Department Honda R&D Europe, with more than 100 engineers and scientists, is still in Offenbach am Main.
