Hyundai at the IAA 2013

If from the 10. - 22. September the doors of the 65. International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt For the first time Hyundai presents the new generation of its smallest model, the Hyundai i10. A total of 18 exhibition vehicles will be on display at the approximately 2.400 m² stand in hall 6.0. Highlights include the i10 as well as the new model generation of the ix35 and the Grand Santa Fe. The smallest very big

New design, new dynamism, new comfort: with the debut of the Hyundai i10 at the IAA, the brand is entering a new level of value in the A-segment. The developers focused on improving the processing quality, driving dynamics and safety as well as integrating the Hyundai design language "Fluidic Sculpture". The new Hyundai i10 is more dynamic than its predecessor and its look is adapted to the Hyundai family face with the hexagonal radiator grille. Passengers can look forward to the newly gained space in the footwell. Overall, the vehicle is 80 mm longer, 65 mm wider and 50 mm lower than the previous generation and also offers a 10 percent increase in volume in the trunk to 252 liters. ABS, ESP, six airbags, a seat belt reminder for all seats - even a tire pressure monitoring system - are already standard in the basic equipment and the safety of the A-segment model is therefore at a high level.

In addition to the world premiere of the i10, two German premieres of the Korean brand are attracting attention: The new model generation of the Hyundai ix35 will be launched in the fall in autumn. In addition to optical modifications and additional comfort features, a new 2.0l GDI engine is one of the significant changes in the already sold in Europe 250.000 times SUVs.

As a new and at the same time largest member of the Hyundai model car fleet, the Grand Santa Fe will be presented to the trade fair audience. 22,5 cm longer than its already successful brother and with a wheelbase of 280 cm, the comfortable mid-size SUV offers enough space for a third row of seats and is thus optionally available for the 6 or 7 seater. In Germany, the Grand Santa Fe will be equipped with a turbocharged four-cylinder common-railDirect injection appear. The 2.2 CRDi delivers 145 kW (197 PS) and accelerates the SUV up to 200 km / h.

With the Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell being the first mass-produced hydrogen vehicle without any emissions, Hyundai also has a technological highlight to offer. With the same level of comfort, the ix35 Fuel Cell has the same performance as vehicles with conventional combustion engines and thus already shows what an automobile and environmentally friendly future means today.

Hyundai is also presenting the possibilities of the future at the IAA as part of a cooperation with LG. The connectivity concept, shown in an i30 Coupe, aims to promote the networking of smartphones and vehicles. Unlocking doors, transferring applications such as e-mail, contacts, call lists or multimedia content to the high-resolution 7-inch touchscreen monitor, or configuring the radio and navigation system are just some of the functions that will be controlled by mobile phone in the future can be.

With the start in the World Rallye Championship (WRC) from 2014, Hyundai wants above all to prove the quality and performance of its models. As an exhibition vehicle, the i20 WRC is already making the hearts of motorsport fans in Frankfurt beat faster.

Hyundai will offer visitors a lot more at the fair than the pure exhibition vehicles. The Veloster Turbo, the model family of the i30, the i40 Kombi, the ix35 and the Santa Fe are available for test drives. Test drives can be reserved at the Hyundai test drive counter in Hall 10. The redesigned ix13 and the Santa Fe can be checked for their off-road properties on the trade fair's official course on the open-air site (F35).
