In the future, hands at the wheel will not only become sweaty when the curve suddenly becomes tight, but possibly even before: Jaguar Land Rover works on a steering wheel that communicates with the driver by warming up certain areas. The thermal stimuli are intended to provide a distraction-free warning of dangerous curves or to signal an impending change of direction. For this purpose, the corresponding areas of the most frequently used grip zones on the valance are specifically heated by up to six degrees and then cooled. The new technology is intended to provide more security, especially in poor visibility. However, there are still no concrete plans for a series launch.
