For the 75th birthday of the historic “Willys” Jeep the American off-road vehicle brand is now offering its latest and smallest growth at a lower price: in the first quarter of 2016, the entry-level model (81 kW / 110 hp) of the Jeep Renegade costs € 17.900, € 2.000 less than before.
During World War II, American troops used the Willys-Overland MB off-road vehicle. He contributed to the fact that “Jeep” is now synonymous with off-road vehicles. The angular, compact SUV Renegade looks similar to its historical model.
Unlike the 4 × 4 Willys, the Renegade entry-level model only drives the 1,6 liter four-cylinder petrol engine to the front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. The standard equipment of the Renegade Sport 1.6 E-torQ includes air conditioning, infotainment system, central locking with radio remote control, electric windows and multifunction steering wheel.
