Let's EV6

In 2020, the Hyundai Motor Group presented the new electric platform E-GMP. The first model on this basis is the Ioniq 5, which was presented in February. Now, with the Kia EV6, number 2 follows.

The first electric car from Kia to be based on the new all-electric platform E-GMP will be called EV6. Photos of the Stromer that have now been published suggest a crossover that has elements of compact models and SUVs. After the Hyundai Ioniq 6, which has already been presented, the EV5 will be the second model from the Hyundai Motor Group based on E-GMP.

Accordingly, the EV6 has an 800-volt architecture that enables the battery to be charged quickly from 10 to 80 percent in less than 20 minutes and has a range of 500 kilometers. Like the Ioniq 5, the EV6 should be over 4,60 meters long, offer a spacious interior and rear and all-wheel drives with a power range from 125 kW / 170 PS to 225 kW / 306 PS.

Kia will present the new EV6, which also marks the introduction of a new design language for the brand, in March. The market launch can be expected in summer at the earliest. The prices for the basic version should be around 40.000 euros
