Kia Sportage 1.6 CRDi - Another mild hybrid

Kia uses 48 Volt technology to make its engines more economical. Now is the little diesel in SUV Sportage turn.

After the 136 kW / 185 PS strong 2,0-liter diesel Kia now also offers the 1.6er diesel in the compact SUV Sportage as a mild hybrid with 48-Volt technology. Unlike the 2,0-liter unit, the customer receives this low-threshold electrification to achieve improved fuel efficiency but not standard, but must pay 750 Euro extra charge.

As a mild hybrid 1.6er is to consume up to 8 percent less fuel. It is available in both front and four-wheel drive and is available in two power levels with 85 kW / 115 PS and 100 kW / 136 PS. Power is transmitted as standard via a six-speed manual gearbox, alternatively a seven-speed DSG is available. In conjunction with front-wheel drive and the small expansion stage, at least 25.740 Euro are due.
