The Koenigsegg Regera betters its own world record
Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg has done it again! Koenigsegg again breaks his own world record in the 0-400-0 km/h range, this time with a Koenigsegg Regera. Two turbochargers heat up the V8 engine. An electric motor that sits on the crankshaft and two other electric drives together with the V8 engine produce 1.509 hp.
Koenigsegg Regera – 0-400-0 km/h
The event took place on September 23, 2019 in Sweden Rada at an airfield deep in the Swedish wilderness. The Koenigsegg Regera was piloted by Sonny Persson.
The last world records were set on October 1, 2017. Back then, a Koenigsegg Agera RS smashed the record into the asphalt in the magical time of 36,44 seconds in Vandel, Sweden. A month later, on November 4, 2017, a Koenigsegg Agera RS also took the 33,29 seconds 0-400-0 record in Nevada.
Its type designation Regera comes from Swedish and means something like “govern”.
Now the Swedes broke their own world record again with 31,49 seconds with the Regera Supercar.
Congratulations from us to Koenigsegg Automotive AB for this super sporty masterpiece!
The Swedish hypercar from Ängelholm, Sweden will be built in a limited edition of only 80 units. The price of the Koenigsegg Regera is over two million euros.
