Pambuffetti PJ-01 Hypercar - Formula 1 for the road

Italian hypercar that is in no way inferior to a Formula 1 racer in terms of driving dynamics

Italy, the land of automotive dreams, is making another dream come true. The Pambuffetti PJ-01 Hypercar is due to appear on the scene soon. A single seater supercar built by Juri Pambuffetti. His dream is to create a hypercar that drives like a Formula 1 street racer.

The concept of the sports car is evolving, rising to a higher level. A new and revolutionary hypercar is born, entirely made in Italy and designed beyond the limits of performance. It will offer a unique driving experience.

With his hypercar, he plans to push the limits of the driving dynamics of normal sports cars. He wants to give future owners the same sensations as if they were sitting in a Formula 1 racing car. According to the first sketches, the driver lies more in the cockpit than he normally sits upright in a sports car.

The Pambuffetti PJ-01 Hypercar is specially tailored to the driver with a Formula 1-inspired setup. The single-seater should have the same aerodynamics, the same downforce, the same braking sensitivity before corners as a Formula 1 racing car.

For the engine of the PJ-01, Pambuffetti Automobili plans with a 5,2-liter naturally aspirated V10. This drives the drive wheels via a sequential gearbox controlled by the shift paddles on the steering wheel. The Italian manufacturer claims a power-to-weight ratio of 1,3 kilograms per horsepower.

According to Juri Pambuffetti, the PJ-01 should roll on OZ forged wheels. 19-inch tires at the front and 20-inch tires at the rear. The hypercar will come to a halt via an ABS brake system with 380 mm discs at the front and 365 mm discs at the rear. Alternatively, the customer can also order ceramic brakes.

The pilot sits in a single seat in his cockpit and looks at a 12-inch display. He steers his car using a steering wheel similar to that of Formula 1.

Is the name enough for a success story?

Pambuffetti's story seems promising. The vehicle could fill a niche as many would like to feel like a Formula 1 racer for once. Incidentally, the entrepreneur earns his bread and butter by customizing buses. So he has big goals. From slow but comfortable to super fast but uncomfortable.

What we are concerned about, however, is the future name “Pambuffetti”. It sounds unusual, but it is also suitable for a successful one Hypercar?
