The Instagram account of a (Guess!) Mercedes seller published a photo of the “stuffed” A-Class today in advance. And not just any variant, but the hottest model, the A45 AMG is shown here from a brochure or an advertisement. The photo has now disappeared from the instagram account, but worldcarfans.com has the "reveal" recorded and reported about it.
Mercedes-AMG A45 with up to 400 PS?
Actually, the “facelift” of the A-Class should only see the light of day at the IAA, but with the early Instagram leak there is the opportunity to take a look at the “Mopf” (MOdellPFlege) in advance.
What changes?
It looks like the glossy black painted flips have shrunk a little and the bumper and the large air intakes in the front bumper have been reshaped. This goes well with more arrow-shaped struts in the radiator grille and a fresh lamp look. The daytime running light torches have been redrawn within the lamps and no longer appear as individual LED points, but as an “LED line”.
Much more important, however, is the information of the instagram Plaudergesellen: The new A45 AMG will come in the series with 381 PS and in an S-variant even with 400 PS!
400 hp from still two liters of displacement. This means that Mercedes-AMG has taken the crown back from Ingolstadt for the “most powerful two-liter series turbo engine”. AutoBild also “knows” about a front axle lock and new adaptive dampers. Well, let's leave that uncommented - it would be nice.
Although the A45 AMG was not a child of sadness before, we could have wished for something for the "Mopf version", then it would be an all-wheel drive that does not wait for slip, but proactively the power like the colleagues from Ingolstadt or Wolfsburg redistributed ... but that will probably remain a wish.
..which even the "high-ranking brother" GLA 45 AMG at the "Tail of the Dragon" more than remarkable draws from the affair ...
