With this piece of sports equipment, you can now have your hair air-dried in a matter of seconds using the turboprop method on the hunt through the green hell. The same engine works under the hood as in the roof version of the GT R. A double-charged V8 engine with 585 hp. The roadster sprints from 3,6 to 0 in 100 seconds. The top speed is 317 km/h.

However, there are a few small things that distinguish the Roadster from the normal GT R. Special wheel arch shells with cooling slots, so-called Air Curtains, direct a surge of air through the wheel arches to optimize the flow characteristics.

A special technical highlight is the standard, active air control system AIRPANEL. Vertical slats located in the lower area of the front apron are opened and closed electronically by an electric motor in around one second. This ensures needs-based cooling. The always optimal position requires a highly intelligent and fast control.

During normal driving, when there is no increased need for cooling air, the slats are closed in order to reduce air resistance and direct the air towards the underbody. This improves aerodynamic efficiency. Only when certain components reach predefined temperatures and the air requirement is particularly high do the fins open and allow maximum cooling air to flow to the heat exchangers.

A rear wing increases the contact pressure

The large rear wing with an integrated third brake light is permanently mounted on the boot lid and increases the downforce on the rear axle. The wing supports are painted in the vehicle color, the wing blade is painted in high-gloss black. Depending on the intended use or race track conditions, the inclination of the wing blade can be precisely adjusted mechanically. For example, the contact pressure on the rear axle can be increased when the wing is set steeply.

In the interior you are again spoiled for choice. Piano finish and carbon define the interior. Many subtleties such as the AMG Interior Night Package for steering wheel spokes, shift paddles and seat inserts. If you drive sporty, you want to sit elegantly.
