Mercedes C-Class All Terrain

A pair of Combo as an SUV alternative: The C-Class All Terrain. Mercedes makes the C-Class fit for the terrain. Visually and technically.

Mercedes is launching the new C-Class in a robust “all-terrain” variant. The raised and robustly planked off-road station wagon will be celebrating its premiere at the IAA in Munich (September 7th to 12th) and will go on sale at the end of the year. In addition to visual peculiarities, it also has a few special extras for the terrain.

Protective cladding must not be missing

Mercedes has adopted the all-terrain concept from the larger E-Class: here and there, all-wheel drive, a raised station wagon body and special off-road driving programs are combined with a more rustic exterior design. The latter include underride protection elements at the front and rear, plastic elements on the wheel arches and a separate radiator grille.

C-Class All Terrain makes everything bright

The cockpit, largely taken over from the standard model, features an off-road display with compass, geo-coordinates and incline angle display as a special feature. In addition, different driving modes for tours through the terrain can be selected at the push of a button - from a gravel path profile to a setting for difficult terrain. The optional “Digital Light” is also supposed to help, which illuminates the surroundings with extra wide coverage in the specially programmed off-road setting.

The engine range includes two four-cylinder units with mild hybrid technology. The 1,5-liter petrol engine has 150 kW / 204 PS, the 2,0-liter diesel has 147 kW / 200 PS. All-wheel drive and automatic are standard. The market launch is planned for December, prices should start above 50.000 euros.
