After the world premiere of the Mercedes Benz EQS no long respite planned - the next offshoot of the all-electric platform from Swabia will soon hit the market. Our Erlkönig photographer has now photographed the new EQE during its test drives on the legendary race track in the Eifel.
Mercedes-EQE - the classic sedan
With the EQE, Mercedes-Benz will present a sedan that is similar in size to the current E-Class oriented. However, the platform specially developed for e-vehicles will provide the occupants with a better sense of space on the same basic size. In terms of design, the passenger cell, which has been moved far forward, is noticeable, as already shown in the EQS.
While a classic E-Class with a small diesel engine starts at around € 50.000, the starting price of the all-electric EQE is more likely to be around € 56.000. Like the EQS, the EQE will have a little brother in the form of an “SUV-like” vehicle.
The world premiere of the Mercedes-Benz EQE is expected at the start of the second half of 2021.
