The Clubman is for the brand Mini an outrageously practical model. The JCW version will not change this either, because it also offers a trunk that can be expanded from 360 to 1.250 liters and up to five passengers. In addition, a lot of performance is the order of the day. As with other mini-models with JCW consecration, the Clubman uses the 170 kW / 231 PS and 350 Newtonmeter strong, double-charged two-liter four-cylinder engine.
However, Mini combines this for the first time as standard in the Clubman with the ALL4 all-wheel drive. Whether with a manual six-speed gearbox or with an eight-speed automatic: the sprint time is 6,3 seconds, the top speed 238 km / h. For comparison: The three-door Mini JCW with pure front-wheel drive also takes 6,3 seconds for the sprint, but can outperform its combi brother in terms of top speed with 246 km / h. When it comes to fuel consumption, the all-wheel drive requires half a liter of surcharge. Accordingly, the standard consumption of the Clubman JCW with manual transmission is 6,8 liters, with automatic at 7,4 liters.
The optical features of the Clubman JCW include large air openings in the front, LED headlights, side skirts, the wider rear apron with two exhaust pipes, 18 inch wheels and the hexagon grille. In the interior, sport seats in the front, leather steering wheel (with shift paddles for automatic), an anthracite-colored headlining and the stainless steel pedals convey a flair typical of JCW. In addition, the future top version of the Clubman series offers air conditioning, an audio system with an 6,5 inch display and a Bluetooth hands-free system as standard. As befits Mini, there are also many other ways to increase comfort and individualize the ambience. Mini does not yet give a price for the Clubman JCW, but this should be around 35.000 euros.
