The strongest small cars come so far on 200 PS and a few bruised. Minis new top model pulverizes this value now.
The small car brand Mini breaks the 40.000 euro barrier - and this clearly. At the Auto Show in Los Angeles (November 22nd to December 1st), the BMW subsidiary is presenting its most powerful model to date, the small-series athlete John Cooper Works GP. The 2,0-liter four-cylinder of the three-door model has an output of 225 kW / 306 hp, topping the most powerful variant to date by 75 hp. Externally, the two-seater is based on the GP Concept study presented at the IAA in autumn 2017, the distinguishing feature is, among other things, a large rear wing. The price list for the top model, limited to 3.000 copies, starts at 45.000 euros.
Usually, the sports models of small cars tend to have PS values in the 200 range. So far, the strongest representative by far was the Audi A1 Quattro, which was also produced in small series with 188 kW / 256 hp and all-wheel drive.
