The Mitsubishi ASX is now available not only with the manual 6-speed gearbox, but also with a modern 6-speed automatic. The combination of the 150 hp 2,2 liter diesel engine with the adaptive six-speed automatic transmission "INVECS II" and the permanent all-wheel drive system "AWC" promises increased drive comfort and superior driving characteristics in train operation and in terrain.
The new automatic box is a lightweight construction with a length of only 404 millimeters and a wet weight of 106 kilograms. (For the techies: The new transmission is based on the “Lepelletier” planetary gear set system.)
In addition to the automatic driving mode, the ASX with automatic also offers a sequential manual shift function, which can be operated either via the selector lever or the paddle shifters on the steering wheel; upshifts in the latter case on the right, downshifts on the left side of the steering wheel.
Ideal automatic partner: 2.2 DI-D diesel engine with 360 Nm torque
The new automatic switch ideally complements the 2.2 DI-D (110 kW / 150 PS), a powerful light alloy diesel engine that impresses with its 360 Newton meters in the speed range of 1.500 and 2.750 1 / min. The performance is accordingly: After 10,8 seconds, the compact SUV ASX with automatic reaches the 100 km / h mark, completes the intermediate sprint from 120 to 140 km / h in 6,2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 190 km / h.
New model variant combines efficiency with superior drive character
The low compression ratio (14,9: 1) of the common-rail four-valve engine ensures respectable efficiency. The fuel consumption and CO2 emissions in the (combined) NEDC standard cycle are only 5,8 l / 100 km or 153 g / km, which puts the Mitsubishi ASX 2.2 DI-D 4WD automatic in the “green zone” of energy efficiency class C.
The pricing for the technically and optically demanding vehicle is also in the economically green range. In the “Invite” basic configuration, the all-wheel drive ASX with diesel engine and automatic transmission only costs 28.190 (“Intense” 30.830 Euro, “Instyle” 33.590 Euro)
