Mobility in Germany

Not entirely surprising: more cars are driven in large federal states than in city-states.

According to calculations by the comparison portal Check24, German drivers drive an average of 11.287 kilometers with their car every year. Most of the kilometers are covered by drivers in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. You come to 12.813 kilometers. The federal states of Schleswig-Holstein (12.446 kilometers) and Saxony (12.254 kilometers) follow in second and third place. Berlin comes in last with 9.545 kilometers. The city states of Hamburg (10.461 kilometers) and Bremen (11.029 kilometers) also drive significantly less than the average.
