More power! Mercedes A class

The most important thing right at the start: with the facelift of the A-Class (official premiere in Frankfurt at the IAA) not only do all A-Classes get a smooth make-up, the most powerful A-Class is also treated with an additional portion of performance , The 381 HP offers new A45 AMG.

And even better: with an optional AMG Dynamic Package, the A-Class gets what it was missing a little bit so far: a mechanical differential lock on the front axle!

“Good news”

You can see in the photos that the A-Class got a little optical finishing touch with the facelift. The new graphics of the rear lights and the slightly modified cooling air inlets in the front are interesting.

In addition, the assistance systems have been updated and with the new “Dynamic Select”, the A-Class now also has a “driving experience switch” with which the driver can switch between Comfort, Sport, Eco and Individual. The switch influences the characteristics of the engine and transmission control (7-speed DCT), the electric power steering, the air conditioning and - brand new - also the chassis. With the facelift there is also an adaptive damper system (optional) in the A-Class for the first time. The AMG variant also gets “Race Mode” for driving dynamics control.

The gear ratio of the 3-speed dual clutch transmission has also been adjusted to ensure that the AMG version moves forward properly and that the Audi RS7 is not just suspended on paper in terms of horsepower.

The base engine was the 102 hp 1.6 liter four-cylinder  Renault-Nissan partner under the hood. In addition, there is an engine with special saving properties (A 180d) - 3.5 liters should be sufficient for everyday use.

Mercedes-Benz has not yet mentioned the prices!
