More range for plug-in hybrids from Audi

Plug-in hybrids are getting more and more electric range. Audi is also adding more batteries to its mid-range models.  

Audi is giving its plug-in hybrids larger batteries and more range. The electrified versions of the Q5, Q5 Sportback as well as A6 and A7 Sportback now have 17,9 kWh instead of the previous 14,1 kWh. The range has increased from a maximum of around 50 to now up to 91 kilometers. The maximum charging power remains unchanged at 7,4 kW.  

The A6 Avant 50 TFSI e Quattro is new to the range of plug-in hybrids. Like the sedan, the estate variant is powered by a 220 kW / 299 hp combination of gasoline engine and electric motor. Prices start at 61.790 euros. The A6 sedan starts at 58.700 euros, the Q5 is available from 56.500 euros.
