New Kia Sportage

In its four generations so far, the look of the Kia Sportage has changed radically again and again. The new edition, which will start this year, also follows this tradition.

Kia will launch a new generation of the Sportage later this year. The fifth edition of the compact SUV remains true to its typical proportions, but the model has a completely new design language called "Opposites United", which Kia first introduced with the EV6 electric model.

In the case of the new Sportage, the design is characterized by a detailed front section with striking light elements and a reinterpretation of the tiger nose radiator grille, which is now referred to as the "Digital Tiger Face". Below the Kia logo, which has migrated to the bonnet, there is a two-part air vent, underneath a large opening with a lattice structure. Boomerang-like LED daytime running lights stand out to the side of the openings. The five-door hatch is slightly tapered on the flank. The two-part tail lights, which reach into the tailgate and are connected to one another by a continuous strip, are characterized by a distinctive LED light graphic.

The interior of the new Sportage features a colorful mix of materials. There is a large digital instrument cluster behind the multifunction steering wheel, as well as an equally powerful touchscreen for the infotainment system.

Kia will communicate details on drives, technology and prices at a later date. The fourth generation Sportage currently costs at least 22.890 euros in Germany, and the new edition will probably be more expensive.
