The Fraunhofer Institute in Erlangen (IISB) now has one as a rolling research platform with road approval electric- sports car put into service. The prototype based on an Artega GT largely consists of self-developed drive components and is intended to help the institute expand its expertise in electric cars. Propulsion is provided by two mechanically independent independent wheel drives, each with an output of 80 kW / 109 hp. The energy initially comes from a lithium-ion battery, but in principle a second battery or a fuel cell could also be used. Charging takes place at public charging stations or at home. In addition to the classic cable, this should also be possible without contact using induction technology. A series production of the model called IISB-ONE is not planned.
