News: Facelift Opel Mocha - No sentence with X

A bit more elegant optics, LED headlights, the latest infotainment generation and a current engine from the Astra: Opel prepares the mocha with various updates for the second half of life and against growing competition. He also receives the suffix "X". The mini SUV celebrates its premiere at the Geneva Motor Show (March 3 - 13).

The Mokka was the most popular mini SUV in Germany in 2015 and the most important series for Opel after Astra and Corsa. With the update after four years of construction, borrowings from the brand new Astra will be available from next summer: For example, the new, less drastic, more elegant instrument panel as well as the 7- and 8-inch touchscreens of the new infotainment generation, which have many buttons and controls make redundant. The Mokka X now connects to the Internet; if desired, smartphones can be connected to the vehicle via Apple Carplay or Andoid Auto.

The 1,4-liter turbo gasoline engine known from the Astra extends the drive portfolio of the mini-SUV with the facelift: As a 110 kW / 150 hp variant, the unit will be available in combination with six-speed automatic and adaptive all-wheel drive. Opel specifies the average consumption at 6,6 liters / 100 km.

From the outside, the front looks especially different, more elegant and less playful than before. With the Mokka X, LED headlights are introduced that automatically adapt the light beam to the driving situation - depending on whether you are driving in the city or on a country road, for example. The Mokka X is launched in the summer at a similar price level as until now. The mini SUV currently costs at least 18.990 euros.
