News: Hyundai i40 - No more sedan in the middle

Hyundai has revised its mid-range model i40, but only the station wagon version comes on the market. The limousine is no longer offered in Germany.

The station wagon can be ordered from € 24.790, compared to the previous model, the starting price has increased by € 850. In the basic model there is a 1,6 liter petrol engine with 99 kW / 135 PS, alternatively there is a 121 kW / 164 PS strong 2,0 liter petrol engine with and two 1,7 liter diesel with 85 kW / 116 PS or 104 kW / 141 hp to choose from. For the first time, the more powerful diesel and the small petrol engine can be combined with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. For the more powerful petrol engine, there is also an optional automatic converter with six stages. A manual six-speed gearbox is standard on all engine variants.

The lifted i40 station wagon can be recognized, among other things, by its slightly modified front section and modified rear light graphics. A high-beam assistant and camera-based traffic sign recognition are now available. The optional adaptive shock absorbers for the rear axle are also new.
