News: Infiniti Q30 - Europe cut into sheet metal

Expressive and sporty: how it works Infiniti new Q30 initially in Europe to catch customers. The compact model celebrates its premiere at the IAA in Frankfurt (September 19-27). A first picture shows an adult, slightly playful design, but which gives a sporty impression.

At the end of the year, the first compact vehicle from the Nissan luxury brand was launched in Europe, later in the rest of the world. The five-door was created as part of the cooperation between Renault-Nissan and Daimler and uses technology from the current Mercedes-Benz A-Class. Accordingly, the Q30 comes with front or all-wheel drive, four-cylinder engines and seven-speed automatic. The new entry-level model of the brand is being built by Nissan in Sunderland, England.

In addition to the Q30, Infiniti will also offer an SUV variant called the QX30. Prices are not yet known. In this respect, the Japanese in Germany usually remain slightly below the Mercedes level and also offer more extensive equipment. The Mercedes A-Class currently starts at just under 25.000 euros.

The Q30 is the first Infiniti model from the cooperation with Daimler. From the collaboration with Renault there are already the Kangoo (Mercedes Citan) and Twingo (Smart Forfour). The A-Class also uses French engines. The production of a Mercedes pick-up based on the Nissan Navara has also already been announced.
