News: Lada Granta 2015 - The cheapest car in Germany

Germany has a new cheapest new car: The Lada Granta is now available for 6.750 euros. The 4,26 meter long notchback sedan from Russian production therefore costs less than any other new car. It replaces the small car Dacia Sandero in the price hit list, which is available from 6.890 euros.

The Granta is powered by a 1,6-liter petrol engine with 64 kW / 87 hp, which is supposed to consume 6,5 liters per 100 kilometers, and is switched by a manual five-speed gearbox. The five-seater drives a maximum of 168 km / h, from a standing start to 100 km / h it takes 11,8 seconds. There is space for 480 liters of luggage in the trunk.

Power steering, ESP and two airbags are standard. CD radio (200 euros), central locking and alloy wheels are available for a surcharge. Air conditioning is also available as an option from July. The interior is simple and functional but with a lot of hard plastic. In the future there will be three equipment levels, an automatic transmission is also planned. From the second half of the year, the Granta will also be available as a hatchback model.

The basic equipment of the small car from Romanian production is also sparsely equipped, power steering, ESP and four airbags are always on board. Air conditioning and radio can only be ordered separately from the next higher line (plus 1.000 euros).
