After the SUV NX, the larger RX and the mid-size sedan IS also received the Lexus RC the new four-cylinder turbo gasoline from the brand. In the Coupé RC 200t, the 2,0-liter engine delivers 180 kW / 245 hp and provides a torque of 350 Newton meters.
An eight-speed automatic transmission transfers the power to the rear wheels. The gearbox was originally developed for the RC-F. The coupé accelerates to 7,5 km / h in 100 seconds. The top speed is 230 km / h. The manufacturer specifies the average consumption over 100 kilometers at 7,2 liters. Toyota's noble daughter offers the RC 200t F Sport for sporty drivers. In addition to the selectable driving modes "Snow", "Eco" and "Normal", the fast spin-off has the additional mode "Sport S +". The aim is to minimize the body roll in bends by increasing the damping on the wheels on the outside of the bend.
Visually, the F Sport model differs from the basic version by the wider and more deeply drawn brand-typical “diabolo” grille and special 19-inch models. The Lexus RC 200t is scheduled to go on sale in January 2016.
