Mercedes-AMG expands its product portfolio: With the GLC 43 4matic, Affalterbachers are now also offering a performance model for the mid-size SUV. The powerful all-wheel drive is at the top of the GLC series and is the only one with a six-cylinder on board: The 3,0-liter V6 biturbo has 270 kW / 367 PS power and a maximum torque of 520 Newton meters.
The GLC sprints to 100 km / h in 4,9 seconds, with 250 km / h electronically limited. The nine-speed automatic transmission is specially tailored to the AMG version with shorter shift times. An intermediate throttle function should make the driving experience in the "Sport" and "Sport Plus" driving programs even more emotional. Among other things, the newly developed front axle, the specially tuned sports suspension with adaptive dampers, sports steering and the rear-wheel-drive all-wheel drive should contribute to greater agility.
The slightly modified design, especially at the front and rear, including the AMG front and rear aprons, is upgraded with chrome-colored and glossy black elements. High-gloss black painted and high-sheen 19 inch alloy wheels are just as much part of the equipment as the multifunction sports leather steering wheel and sports seats.
The GLC 43 4matic can be ordered from April, with the market launch in June. Mercedes has not yet announced prices. The GLC currently costs at least 44.500 euros, then as 250 4matic with 155 kW / 211 PS. The technically related T-Model of the C-Class costs C 450 AMG with the 367 PS engine 61.731 Euro. The GLC-AMG should be a good 2.000 Euro more expensive.
