The revised version will be available from mid-June Toyota Avensis at a base price of 23.640 euros (97 kW / 132 hp) from dealers. After the facelift of the mid-range model, which includes optics, motors and comfort and safety equipment, nothing changes in the price. The combi version "Touring Sports" costs 1.000 euros extra.
The changed front section is clearly recognizable, which is now reminiscent of other cars of the brand, such as the Auris. The Avensis is the first Toyota model to feature the expanded "Toyota Safety Sense" emergency braking system. Air conditioning, an audio system (radio / CD / MP3) with six loudspeakers and steering wheel control, electric windows, electric and heated exterior mirrors and a hill start assistant are always standard.
For the mid-range model, which competes against VW Passat or Mazda6, among others, petrol and diesel engines between 82 kW / 112 PS and 108 kW / 147 PS are available. According to Toyota, the price in higher equipment lines drops by up to 200 euros compared to the comparable model of the predecessor. Optional extras such as full-LED headlights, multimedia audio system with smartphone integration via Mirror Link, panoramic glass roof, keyless entry system and various assistance systems for the mid-range model are available.
