The commercial vehicle becomes a fashionable accessory: The revised, officially fourth generation of the Caddy also sets VW in the off-road look. Instead of "Cross" as before, the high roof combination now has the suffix "Alltrack". In addition, the Caddy is still available as a car (gross from 24.360 euros) and panel van (from 19.620 euros gross), then with the 84 PS entry-level gasoline. With optional all-wheel drive, at least 27.250 Euro is due (car: 31.760 Euro), then a 122 PS strong diesel is on board.
Similar to the Passat and Golf Alltrack, the Alltrack sets itself apart from the other Caddy models with its silver roof rails and exterior mirrors, darkened taillights, black body covers for the wheel arches, black side skirts and the indicated underrun protection. In the interior, the VW is equipped with different seat covers and a leather package (steering wheel, handbrake lever, shift gaiter). In the car variant, there are folding tables on the back of the front seats, adjustable center armrests and the chrome package.
Equipped with Hill Start Assist as standard, the Caddy has sliding doors as a panel van on the left and right. In the car variant, the high roof combination also has air conditioning, a light and sight package, speed limiter and radio.
When it comes to the drive, the engine range of the revised Caddy generation is available for the Alltrack. It includes petrol engines with different displacement in the range from 62 kW / 84 PS to 92 kW / 125 PS as well as an 2,0 liter diesel that delivers between 55 kW / 75 PS and 110 kW / 150 PS. All-wheel drive is optionally available for the two most powerful diesel engines. Depending on the engine, the power transmission takes place via five and six-speed switches as well as six and seven-speed dual clutch transmissions. The cheapest Caddy is in the price list for 17.590 Euro, as a car version for 18.240 Euro.
