News: VW Caddy - From Cross to Alltrack

The off-road version of the Caddy is no longer called Cross but Alltrack VW at the International Motor Show IAA in Frankfurt (September 17-27). The fourth generation is again available as a passenger car and panel van.

The newest variant stands out from the other Caddy models by, among other things, a silver roof railing, black body covers on the wheel arches, black side skirts and the indicated underrun protection. Bumpers, side protection strips and door handles are painted in the vehicle color. In addition, the radiator grille has three chrome trim strips, the car exterior mirror housings are painted silver and the taillights are darkened.

In the interior, the VW Caddy Alltrack has other seat covers and folding tables on the rear of the front seats. Both model variants have a leather steering wheel, in the car there is also an adjustable center armrest and a chrome package.

The Alltrack is based on the new Caddy generation. A 2,0-liter diesel is used for the propulsion, which is available in four power levels between 55 kW / 75 PS and 110 kW / 150 PS. There are also three petrol engines with 62 kW / 84 HP to 92 kW / 125 HP and alternatively a natural gas engine with 81 kW / 110 HP. Depending on the motorization, five- and six-speed switches as well as six- and seven-speed dual clutch transmissions are available. All-wheel drive can also be ordered as an option.

A hill start assistant is always on board the Caddy Alltrack, the car variant also has a manual air conditioning system, speed limiter, radio, and a 5-inch touchscreen. The panel van costs at least 16.485 euros net (19.617 euros gross), or 20.470 euros net (24.359 euros gross) for the car, each with the 84 hp entry-level unit.
