Opel Insignia: Strong base gasoline

There is an additional engine for the Insignia. The new basic gasoline is surprisingly powerful.

Opel is adding a new basic petrol engine to its range for the Insignia, which was launched at the beginning of the year. The 2,0-liter four-cylinder in the mid-range model, which is available as a station wagon and sedan, has an output of 125 kW / 170 hp and is linked to a nine-speed automatic. The prices start in connection with the middle equipment line "Elegance" at 38.919 euros.

The new engine replaces the hardly weaker 2017-liter turbo introduced in 1,5 and rounds off the lower end of the gasoline engine range. Alternatively, two further 2,0-liter petrol engines with 147 kW / 200 PS and 169 kW / 230 PS are available. There are also two diesels with 90 kW / 122 PS and 128 kW / 174 PS. The more powerful diesel is now also available with all-wheel drive. The starting price is 41.531 euros, including an eight-speed automatic.
