Opel Mokka X - New name, new technology

Opel lift the mocha and set the model name "X" at the back. The small SUV is starting in autumn with a modified look, LED headlights and the latest infotainment generation. There is an engine from the Astra. As usual, the basic version starts at 18.990 Euro.

From the Astra holds in conjunction with all-wheel 1,4-liter turbo with 112 kW / 152 PS collection. The direct-injection gasoline engine is coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. The consumption is indicated by the manufacturer with 6,4 liters, the price list starts at 26.690 Euro. Volume engine remains the well-known 103 kW / 140 PS strong 1,4-liter turbo (from 23.030 Euro), which can also be combined with all-wheel technology. Entry-level petrol engine is still the 1,6-liter gasoline engine with 85 kW / 115 PS. The power transmission takes place here via a five-speed circuit, in all other units is a six-speed transmission or a six-speed automatic standard. Of course, Opel also diesel for the mocha on offer. As before, the 1,6-liter engine is available in power levels 81 kW / 110 PS or 100 kW / 136 PS.

In terms of design, the Opel designers donated the Mocha a slightly different front with new LED graphics. He now looks burly, the lines have become clearer and clearer, so that the previously slightly playful impression of the past belongs. Inside, the small SUV benefits from a gene donation from the Astra: The dashboard and the infotainment systems of the compact model provide more clarity and improved connectivity. Thus, the seven- or eight-inch touch screens make many buttons unnecessary. In addition, a variety of assistants are now available, including traffic sign recognition, lane keeping warning, distance warning or a high-beam assistant. The latter is part of the likewise new adaptive LED driving light. In addition, the Opel now allows the integration of smartphones via Apple Carplay or Android Auto.
