Peugeot 508 PES

Peugeot lets the top variant of the 508 on the road. It is twice as expensive as the base model - and almost three times as powerful.

The Peugeot 66.640 PSE is now available at prices from 508 euros. The top version of the mid-range model, available as a sedan and station wagon (plus 1.300 euros), has an output of 265 kW / 360 hp.  

The drive of the brand's new dynamic flagship is shared by a 1,6-liter turbo gasoline engine and two electric motors, one of which provides all-wheel traction on the rear axle. A total of 520 Nm is available, which accelerates the mid-range model from standstill to 5,2 km / h in 100 seconds. The intermediate sprint from 80 to 120 km / h takes three seconds. The acceleration is over at 250 km / h.  

Those who do not enjoy the potential driving performance can also drive purely electrically - a maximum of 42 kilometers are possible. Power is replenished via the single-phase 3,7 kW on-board charger, and a three-phase charger with up to 22 kW is also available as an option. Then the battery should be full again after almost two hours. The manufacturer specifies the standard consumption of the plug-in hybrid drive at 2,03 liters per 100 kilometers, the CO2 emissions at 46 grams per kilometer.  

The top model is visually differentiated from the standard 20 models by a special radiator grille mask, decorative foils on the flanks, a glossy black diffuser and 508-inch rims. In terms of price, the PSE is by far the most expensive 508 model; the basic version is available from 33.100 euros.
