Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid - Performance with eco-touch

When it comes to e-mobility Porsche at the Geneva Motor Show (March 9 to 19): The sports car manufacturer is showing the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid for the first time. With a system output of 680 hp, the new top model in the series is the most powerful Panamera to date. The consumption is specified with only 2,9 liters.

The part-time Stromer is primarily powered by a 406 KW / 550 PS four-liter V8 petrol engine. In addition, a 100 kW / 136 hp electric machine is on board. Both together should mobilize 500 kW / 680 PS and 850 Newton meters. Thanks to the enormous power, the sprint from a standstill to 100 km / h only takes 3,4 seconds, the top speed is 310 km / h.

Thanks to a 14,1 kWh battery, the hybrid model allows 50 kilometers of purely electric range. If you mainly move the Panamera electrically, you can achieve NEDC consumption of 2,9 liters. In addition to this amount of fuel, the Panamera needs a good 100 kWh of electricity for a 16-kilometer tour. The battery can be charged by 230 volts in just over six hours. With the optionally available 7,2 kW on-board charger and a 32 amp socket, the charging time can be reduced to 2,4 hours.

In addition to the extra portion of performance, the Turbo S E-Hybrid also offers sophisticated equipment. This includes, among other things, active air suspension, ceramic stoppers and 21-inch wheels. The drive version available from July 2017 costs around 186.000 euros in the standard version, as an executive with an extended wheelbase a good 199.000 euros are due. (Mario Hommen / SP-X)
