Renault is launching the commercial vehicle variants of the Kangoo. For the first time also in an extra affordable variant.
The Renault Kangoo Express delivery van is now on the market at prices starting at 14.190 euros net. At the same time as the economy version, which was specially developed for price-sensitive customers, the somewhat more elaborately equipped sister model Kangoo Rapid is launched, which costs at least 17.350 euros net.
The "Express" model, launched for the first time, is aimed specifically at operators of small fleets and young companies. These are available in various variants with a loading volume between 3,3 and 3,7 cubic meters and loading lengths from 1,91 meters to 2,36 meters. Loading is via wing doors at the rear or an almost 72 centimeter wide sliding door on the side. A 1,3-liter turbo gasoline engine with 75 kW / 102 PS and a 1,5-liter diesel in the output levels 55 kW / 75 PS and 70 kW / 95 PS are available for the drive.
The Kangoo Rapid remains at the core of the commercial customer offering for small vans, which is available in different lengths and with a loading volume of up to 4,9 cubic meters. In some variants, Renault also dispenses with the B-pillar on the passenger side, which creates a loading opening 1,45 meters wide with the doors open and the seat folded. When it comes to drive, the Rapid model offers more choice than the Express. In addition to the small gasoline engine, there is a more powerful version with 96 kW / 130 PS, while the diesel version has a top version with 85 kW / 115 PS.
In addition, from 2022 there will be a fully electric version with 75 kW / 105 PS, a 44 kWh battery and a range of 265 kilometers. In addition, Mercedes is also using the French base again for the Citan and the T-Class derived from it.
