Since 2015, the still young American sports car manufacturer Rezvani has been offering a spectacular Beast Roadster on. Now Rezvani has expanded its offer by a coupe variant called Beast Alpha, which offers a quirky feature called Sidewinder doors.
What you do not see the spectacularly drawn Rezvani models, is their technical basis: Under the dramatically staged, sharp-edged plastic skin is namely an Ariel atom. Rezvani wants to attract comfort-oriented customers with the Alpha, because the previous roadster is almost as puristic as its technical basis. The new model features a removable Targa roof, leather seats, air conditioning, airbags and Sidewinder doors already mentioned. The latter are characterized by an unusual mechanism: if you want to get in, you first have to pull the portals out to the side and then push them forward.
In terms of drive technology, Alpha and the open roadster are identical. Also in the coupe version is an 2,4-liter petrol engine from Honda, which should bring it thanks to turbocharging on 368 kW / 500 PS. Since the two-seater brings only 884 kilograms on the scales, it can sprint in 3,2 seconds from a standstill to 96 km / h. For such performance you have to dig a little deeper into the bag: 200.000 US dollars cost of the Alpha, which corresponds to the equivalent of 190.000 Euro. (Mario Hommen / SP-X)
