Seat supplements the equipment list of the Ateca with the sporty FR variant. In addition to "Reference", "Style" and "Xcellence", customers can now choose between four variants of the Spanish SUV.
The FR package differs not only visually, but also technically from the less sporty brothers. Unlike the other equipment variants, Seat sets the roof rails and window frames in black on the FR. The radiator grille has its own design in gloss black and the underside of the newly designed bumpers and the wheel arches are painted in body color. In addition, the fog lights get a new look. There are also black side spoilers and a small wing at the rear. 18 inch alloy wheels with 245 / 40-R18 tires complete the picture.
Inside, you can see aluminum door sills with the FR logo. The pedals are also made of light metal. Additional FR logos can be found on the leather sports steering wheel. The sports comfort seats are included as standard and covered with Alcantara. Leather seats are also optionally available. Red seams give the steering wheel, seats and gear knob a sporty look. The headlining and door trim are black, and there is a special FR surface on the doors.
A 2,0-liter TFSI with 140 kW / 190 PS is now the top unit among the petrol engines. The well-known diesel engines with up to 140 kW / 190 PS are still on offer. All-wheel drive, dynamic damper adjustment and progressive steering are also available in the FR like the DSG transmission. (Max Friedhoff / SP-X)
