Skoda Scala - Coming soon with natural gas

Natural gas cars emit less CO2 than gasoline. This is good for the environment and the fleet consumptions of the manufacturers. Skoda also sees it that way.

At the end of the year, Skoda expanded the Scala engine range to include a natural gas variant. The Czech compact drives up as a G-Tec with a 1,0 liter three-cylinder with 66 kW / 90 PS and 160 Nm. There are three natural gas tanks under the floor, which hold a total of almost 13,8 kilograms of CNG. The engine, which has been optimized for natural gas propulsion, can travel about 410 kilometers. A 9 liter petrol tank allows you to continue driving for around 220 kilometers should the natural gas supply run out. Skoda does not yet list prices, but it should be around 18.500 euros for the basic version.
