Technical updates for the TMG GT86 CS-V3

TOYOTA Motorsport GmbH (TMG) has made intensive use of the winter break of the TMG GT86 Cup to take advantage of the TMG GT86 Technical development of CS-V3. This has resulted in an even more balanced, better vehicle that not only convinces the drivers with performance and good handling, but also the owners with an attractive final price. Coupled with the increase in the prize money to a total value of 86.000.- Euro and other special conditions, the in-house series will be even more attractive for newcomers and converters in its second season.

Mandatory innovations
As of 2014, the TMG GT86 CS-V3 will only be delivered on a Bilstein chassis, which will be mandatory for all participants in the TMG GT86 Cup 2014. However, vehicle owners from last season do not have to reckon with new costs, because the chassis update is available to all participants free of charge with simultaneous enrollment in the TMG GT86 Cup 2014 and the return of an accident-free Cup suspension from 2013. In addition, brake pads from the manufacturer PFC will be installed this year. These convinced the engineers in the tests with better braking performance and more deceleration, which will ensure even faster lap times in the future.

Optional retrofit
TOYOTA Motorsport GmbH is also pleased to announce a number of other technical updates that can be retrofitted in the TMG GT86 CS-V3 as required and of course are also cup-compliant. The new exhaust manifold and the new engine mapping ensure increased torque with reduced fuel consumption, while the maximum engine output remains the same. In addition, a new brake cooling system is available, which convinced in the load test and ensures more braking efficiency. The driver's seat is also replaced in the 2014er version; A lower center of gravity and more headroom guarantee drivers more comfort in long-distance racing. Spacers for the front and rear axles are also available as additional optional components, which provide more cornering stability, the new front and rear axle stabilizers are also 3 adjustable and approx. 60% harder than the standard version.

As a further highlight, there will be an online shop for ordering components and spare parts from the end of February, making the process even more convenient for vehicle owners. The spare parts service on the race weekends is of course not affected by this and continues to take place on the race track on site.

Prize money, registration conditions and regulations
2014 will increase the prize money for the TMG GT86 Cup to a total value of 86.000.- and distribute it for the seats 1 to 8. In addition, high-quality material prices as well as low acquisition costs and registration fees make the series from TMG particularly attractive for new participants: TOYOTA Motorsport GmbH offers various financing models tailored to the customer. The registration fee is 4.500.- and will be charged per vehicle. In addition to the participation in the TMG GT86 Cup and the purchase of tires and spare parts at special rates these fees also include three racing overalls from OMP, which are mandatory in the series. Guest starters also have the opportunity to rent racing overalls from the TMG GT86 Cup Organization for a fee.
