More and more people are interested in e-mobility, but do not want to buy just any electric car. Above all, customers who shortlist Tesla brand e-cars must first deal with the different car models. In addition to the Tesla Model S or Model 3, the Model X and Model Y are also available. But which car is recommended and what is the best thing to look out for when buying a Tesla?

A test drive is advisable before buying a Tesla

A pair of Electric car differs categorically and in many respects from a vehicle with a combustion engine. A test drive is therefore essential, even if demand is currently high and appointments are few and far between.

The first differences can already be seen when looking at the body. A look under the bonnet also surprises many prospective buyers. There is no combustion engine here, because the Tesla simply does not need it. On the other hand, batteries that are installed in the underbody ensure driving pleasure.

Anyone who now gets behind the wheel immerses themselves in a completely different car world. The entire cockpit stands out completely from a normal vehicle. At the same time, the car reacts completely differently to gas. The desired speed is reached quickly. The vehicle works much more quietly than vehicles with petrol or diesel engines. Overall, driving a Tesla feels like walking on clouds.

However, it is important before the test drive that the electric car is sufficiently charged with electricity. Charging stations should therefore be available in the immediate vicinity. Superchargers in particular are to be preferred, as they stand for faster charging within a very short time.

These gadgets are essential when buying a Tesla

Once a specific model has been selected, it is important to filter out the appropriate variant. Tesla sometimes offers the various models in different versions that differ in range or performance. In addition to various highlights such as acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h or maximum speed, there are other points to consider. These can include delivery times, features, color and much more.

Of course it is also possible to specify the rims, seat covers and much more individually. Tesla Model 3, Y, S and X accessories are plentiful. There may well be surcharges, which should be kept in mind. The standard version includes, for example, the black interior. However, if this is to be kept in white, the purchase price also increases.

Some models already have one Autopilot. If you want to use autonomous driving (Full Self Driving), you can also specify this requirement when purchasing, but this passage is often associated with additional costs.

To place an order for a Tesla, a fee of 100 euros is already due. Should anyone subsequently wish to cancel the order, this fee is non-refundable. Payment can be made by bank transfer, credit, home or business lease.

Once these instructions have been clarified, nothing stands in the way of production and the Tesla purchase. Currently, however, it may take several months for the Tesla to be completed and ready for delivery.

Check used cars and check prices in advance

Tesla does not currently offer discounts on new vehicles. The situation is different with demonstration vehicles that are in the showroom. Since a vehicle from Tesla is not exactly cheap, some interested parties may consider a used car.

It is important to pay attention to guarantees when buying. The charging connections must also be checked in advance. Some models come directly from America. However, these have different connections than the vehicles that were manufactured in Europe.

If you are unsure, use the wide range of leasing options. Interesting vehicles can be leased through some car dealers. However, in this context, care must be taken to ensure that terms and mileage meet your own requirements. A comparison makes sense in advance in order to be able to use the best offer for yourself.
