Deutsche Tesla- Youngsters have a new toy: The American electric car manufacturer has released the configurator of its SUV Model X on its website for Europe and has published new base prices. The gullwing has a new battery pack with a capacity of 75 kWh instead of 70 kWh. The price of the electric SUV now starts at 96.100 euros, previously the price announcement had been a few thousand euros below.
According to Tesla, the battery stores electricity for a range of 417 kilometers. One wants that the customers always have enough range available with the basic models, says Tesla. Since the Model X is a larger and heavier car, the larger battery has been introduced. The basic version of the Model S sedan drives a maximum of 70 kilometers with a 455 kWh battery and costs at least 82.700 euros.
The front and rear engines of the Model X 75D each produce 190 kW / 259 PS, so the electric SUV always drives with all-wheel drive and accelerates to 6,3 km / h in 100 seconds, the top speed is 210 km / h. Fast charging, LED headlights and navigation system are standard. The regular five-seater Model X is also optionally available as a six- or seven-seater. The performance version P90D (front: 259 hp, rear: 503 hp), which speeds up to 4,0 km / h in 100 seconds, costs at least 131.300 euros. Production of the 75 kWh Model X starts this month, with Tesla specifying the delivery date on the website at the end of 2016.
